Welcome to Kitten Memories- Part 2! By the way, we weren’t sure about getting male kittens, because of male kittens/cats spraying their urine on furniture and more, but we got them anyway. We had a few bathroom incidences with both Kai and Pukini, but eventually they got used to our house. We’ve had no problem with their spraying of urine since we adopted them. Our kittens, Kai and Pukini were eight-nine weeks old when we adopted them. When we brought Pukini and Kai home, and took them out of their box, they ran to the guest bedroom under the bed for fifteen minutes approximately, but they were not there long. I was in our bedroom, and I looked over and our tiny little kittens, Kai and Pukini, were trying to crawl their way up to me on our bed. Here they were, up with me on the bed, and they were settling down and had a nap. Eventually, Kai and Pukini followed us pretty much everywhere we went in our house, and they went from room to room, in the days, weeks, and months ahead, to get to know one another.
They will rest or sleep anywhere it’s comfy to them, office chairs, the back of chairs, office chairs and more. They also both love the sun, anytime there is sun on the carpet, that’s Kai’s favorite spot to lay, on the office carpet floor. Pukini loves the sun as well, but both have to be careful if it’s to hot of sun for Kai, who has black fur and Pukini is a lighter color of fur, and his inner ears are pink, inside so don’t want his cute ears getting sunburned. Pukini loves lying up on my scanner in the office, and sometimes you hear his ears thump against the window, or when he does close to a nose dive. Awe he says, warm sun, and when there is sun in the living room, he comes on back of the sofa and get’s everything he could want: Sun, sleep, and a window that’s open to breathe in the fresh air. They both love all of the windows open, especially in the family room. Kai loves it as well, but he knows Pukini loves it more, because when those windows are open and the bushes are swaying, and air wafts in. Pukini feels like he’s outside and enjoying life, especially in the family room’s window standing or sitting on the ottoman.
They both have had some nice toys to play with, from our deceased cats, Skitch and Pumpkin, and we have had so much fun playing with them. You get to know their likes of toys, foods and so much more. As far as toys, Pukini’s faves are snake like looking toys on a wand, some ball toys, or anything on a wand. He loves tunnel enrichment toys as well. Kai will play with pretty much anything, but he likes, balls, mousey toys, and other wand like toys. As far as food, they had their kitten food, some dry chicken cat treats and more. Pukini can be a nervous and anxious cat especially, with vacuums, and kai hates it and Pukini when the door cam rings, and than both cats leave. Fireworks are the worst, and Pukini puts up with it, but Kai is out of here and into our bedroom closet to hide. In order to take good care of them, we brush both cats as much as we can. Finally we give them Johnny cat litter, and we and the kittens liked it at first, but later on we got a better litter that’s dust free, when we moved the litter to our bedroom. We got a ramp like Booda Dome Litter Box, and the kittens seem happier, and so are we.
Overall, and finally we love our cats, Kai and Pukini so much, and they are our family. We want to give them the best life ever with a plethora of toys, enrichments, love, food, treats and more. We love them and they are our forever pets for ever and ever in our life. Enjoy more photos on the blog and instagram and Facebook. Stay tuned for Part 3 next week of our cats, all grown up from kittens to seven years old, next week. Stay tuned.
