Multi-Level Tower of Fun, Part 1!

Dave and I were were so excited to buy our one of many gifts to our cats, Kai and Pukini’s 6th Birthday. I did as best as I could, and researched online to find the best cat tree on Amazon. Too bad you can’t ask the cats their choice of cat tree. So I looked at several of them. We bought on May 17th, of 2023, a Heybly Cat Tree 73 inches extra extra large cat tower for indoor cats, multi-level cat furniture condo for large cats with padded plush perch, cozy basket and scratching posts in light gray. After buying this cat tree, it arrived on May 18th, and then my husband, Dave assembled it together for our first photo on May 19th of this year. Instead of a cream color, we got a light gray color, and I wanted plushness, and one bigger condo, and one small sized condo, a variety of perches, ten scratching posts and more. Unfortunately the basket, and hammock has just been barely utilized, and we just put some of their toys in the basket and hammock and their treats to hide.

To our one smaller cat, Pukini this is a place to play with this toys, nap, and just rest and relax, and run up our cat tree, and more. On the other hand our bigger cat Kai, he was was not so sure of this cat tree. He is a bigger boy than his kennel mate, Pukini. Like some people, some animals don’t like changes, and get used to what they like. Just to let you know, you do not need any extra tools, and everything came in the box, that Dave put together. We decided to put the cat tree initially on the tiled floor, near our side door, because our former one used to be there. We took our old one down, because it was looking dirty and shoddy looking. The reason I wanted to write this blog in part one, is because there was some photos of the first time, I just wanted to post. In the next week, on part two you will see a video of our cat Pukini, on tiled floor running up the cat tree, and more to come but on the carpeted floor.

When it was assembled, we put it in the corner, and our cats were not sure about it. As Dave was assembling the cat tree together, there in the box was a velcro like cat scratch, to attach on the cat tree. Dave put it on the there, but Pukini didn’t seem interested in it, and it was in the way, of Pukini trying to get down to the second flat porch or perch on the right. So we took it off the cat tree, and it’s no use for us. We also haven’t taken this strap, and attached it to our wall for stability. It just wasn’t needed. It came, to use so your cat would not fall, so we just left it hanging on the cat tree not being used.

Finally, we waited and waited to see what the cats would do, and Pukini decided to say, I’ll give it a try Mommy! Pukini gave it a try and ran up the side of the cat tree on the left side, and went up to the second perch. Look for that next week. So our poor cat, could get up there, but had a hard time with maneuvering around. It is the second perch from the left side, Pukini was trying to figure out, you will see in photos/video(s) of how he got down off the cat tree. He did find his way down, but was cautious about doing that. Finally, Pukini did check out the bigger lower condo, on the right side, and he looked cute and cozy in the photo. Finally, materials are: Particle board exterior cover: Faux fur fabric, and natural sisal rope. The perches had three ball toys hanging by a stronger string hooked underneath each of the three perches. Cute as the balls looked to play with, underneath the perches, Pukini just played with them once or twice, and that was that so far.

Stay tuned for next weeks posting, of Part. 2, on our blog, see ya next week. Here is the link.
