Super Pooper Scooper!

RSVP International Endurance Collection Stainless Steel Kitty Litter Scoop, 6.5x5x11.25”-Stainless steel super scooper to the rescue, and no more plastic scooper for us, to use. We couldn’t wait to use this stainless steel scooper to scoop the cats waste out of their litter box. The scooper is really nice for our large litter box, and it’s strong, and made of durable steel. Also, it was sturdy enough to take our large amount of kitty litter waste, out of the litter box, straight to their trash can. What I liked was how strong and big the handle was in my smaller hand to use to scoop it up, and put in our little trash can for the cats. So far so good, this scooper has lasted for 7 years so far and we really like it. When you clean it, use a sponge with soap and water, if you need to. Give it a try, and you’ll be really glad you did. Here is the link

Hide N’ Seek!

Who's ready for eating treats, and playing hide and seek to hunt for their cat treats today? Pukini and Kai are always ready for some fun hide and seek. I wanted to mention Temptations Chicken Flavored Cat Treats again on the blog, with a link, but with different photos this time. Recently I came up with some new places to hide their treats that I felt were different and original places to find them. For our cat Pukini, who is shorter in height, and has shorter legs, I used places he can easily jump up to reach them, or is more accessible to him, for example, my little rocking chair. I decided to try a different place, and I put the cat treat on the left arm of my little rocking chair, and he found it. He reached up on his hind legs, and grabbed the treat. I just heard a munch munch sound, and he was quite pleased with himself. On the other hand, Kai is taller, and has long legs, so I purposely take treats in our office, on the hutch, where our printer is. He saw it, and he got up on his tippy toes and took his long legs and took his paw and grabbed the treat. They both get so excited when I do the treat eating/hunting enrichment, because it is mental stimulating, and it’s good for their hunting instincts, and so they don’t get bored and more. The Wrangler Detangler

Untangler 7” Pearl White Cat Comb by Tangler-Wrangler-Instead of our posting of a toy this time, we wanted to put a useful practical item on the blog as well. This amazing comb has been the best comb we’ve had for our cats, Kai and Pukini for several years. What’s an amazing feature of it is for dematting, safely and uses this “rolling” of moving teeth preventing the cat hair from getting snagged around the pin, which prevents pulling on hair follicle causing pain. You can get various colors, of: Black, blue, red, and white, and it comes in 2 different sizes of 5” or 7”, and we have the 7" comb by the way. In the photo I will show you, Pukini has medium hair, which we try to brush him when he’s alert but resting. Pukini likes it, but he’s good at grooming thank goodness. When we brush him, he’s happy and is relaxed and loves it, and no pulling of his fur. Kai on the other hand, when brushing him, doesn’t want his short hair combed much at all, and thinks it’s a toy to play with. By the way, this comb is made in the good ole USA! Here is the link.

Mouse-go-round Smackdown!

Cat’s Meow Motorized Wand Cat Toy- This looked like a unique toy we had to try for the cats. I like the color yellow, and it’s nice and bright, and I put it on our tile floor. It also works on our carpeted floor just as well. It takes 3- “C” batteries to let you know, and so we pressed just one button to get it started. It is a 100% polyester fabric cover, and underneath it, there is this mouse like toy wand. When the button is pressed, it will start going around and around in different directions. When you think you have predicted it’s going to go the same way, it changes and the cats have to change their direction momentum, and go the other way. But the mouse wand goes and goes, until the cats are ready to take their paws and smack right down on the mouse wand toy. If they missed it, they kept at it, until they get their prey. What we liked was it keeps the cats active, and all they see is this moving wand apparatus supposed to be that of a mouse’s tail. Got ya! Here is the link.

Just to let you know when you click on the above link, this was not the toy we bought, but a different version of it. Our toy didn’t have three different speed settings, and so ours just had one button on top to push and that was that. When you wanted to turn it off, you pushed the button at the top, and that’s it. Have fun!

Can you say, BOING!

SPOT Ethical Products Ethical Wide Colorful Springs Cat Toy-10 pk-First time, I took them out of the package, and our cats sniffed at them. No catnip on these toys, but I threw them on the tile and carpeted floors, and they both ran at them. They bounced, and went Boing on the tile floor and the carpet. The boys batted at the toys, and caught them in their mouths. They bit on the plastic springs, and no broken toys so far. Their paws grabbed onto the springs and they enjoyed every moment. Kick Kick, And Springs Back At Ya!

Jackson Galaxy Ultimate Bunny Kicker Cat Toy-I couldn’t wait to put this toy on our blog, because it’s a different kind of toy. I take it out of the cats toy box, and let both cats sniff the cat nip scent from the toy. They get excited, and once I throw it, the toy jumps, bounces, and tries to entice our cats to play with it, like it’s prey. They take it within their grasp, and start kicking it like like it’s hunted prey, but it kicks back to get away. Our cats don’t let bunny kicker out of their grip. They kick and kick at it furiously, with excitement, with endless minutes of fun of play and satisfaction. Here is the link

Squiggly Wiggly Attack!

Whisker City Spring Cat Toys-Dave and I bought these bright colored pack of 4 toys at PetSmart of: Pink, orange, green, and blue, kind of twisted/curly kind of toys. You can take each one and bend into a circle and all shapes, and or hold it hight up in the air, so the cats can reach up and grab it. You can even toss it and, see if they will run, and pounce and play with it. Let’s see how the fearless hunters reacts. Here is the link. Finally, I have a photo I am going to put on the blog, that shows our cat, Pukini attacking the squiggly wiggly toy.
