The Cat in the Hat Cat Toys, Part 1

Have you heard the news at PetSmart, and so there is Dr. Suess Cat in the Hat promotional toys, and it’s online. My husband, Dave told me about these cute, and adorable promotional cat toys of Dr. Suess Cat in the Hat, and he put the order in at PetSmart. When it was ready to pick these toys up, I couldn’t wait to go and get them. When I got the little sack with three different kinds of toys in the sack, I drove home and couldn’t wait to check it out with our cats, Kai and Pukini. I took them out of the sack, and had our cats, Kai and Pukini give it a good sniff, and as usual catnip was on our floor, before we played with their toys. After sniffing it and sniffing at it from bath cats, it was time to show Dr. Suess Cat in the Hat toy, who was boss. Pukini mostly showed it who was boss, by chewing at his big red and white hat, and than proceeding to take his back and front paws and give this cat, a good kick so he couldn’t get away. Kick, kick, kick. The toy gave up, and Pukini won, and beat Dr Suess at his game and won.

This enrichment toy is seventeen inches long, and has some catnip inside it, and it looks nice and filled out, and so real looking. I loved the big red and white hat, and striped black and white colors of the cat, and the feathers at the bottom of the toy. Both cats love feathers, and I would take the cat in the hat toy, and I taunted the cats with its feathers, at the end of the toy. They would playfully grab at it. Kai would lie down on it like it was his pillow. Just adorable, and a unique and fun way to exercise your cats, and to keep them engaged.

Hoppity Hoppity Grasshopper Toy Fun!

It’s springtime, and who’s ready for some photos/video’s of some Hoppity Hoppity Grasshopper Toy Fun? The cats and I were READY for this new toy, and it’s from LitterboyCatToys, Etsy or go to www.litterboy.com. This is our third order and my husband and our cats, Kai and Pukini love these toys. I just cauldn’t wait to order, these cute little one pack of three variety colors of: Black/white, yellow/black/brown, and brown/rust colored grasshopper toys. They are about three inches approximately, and my favorite color was the yellow/black/brown one, because it reminded me of our bee toy on a wand, that both of our cats love. The grasshopper toys came to our house, all together in this little bag, and we picked this one, because the other two were unraveled with the yarn, and the yarn came undone on the toy, and sadly it was a chew toy for the boys. Sigh I didn’t read it, it was supposed to be used as a teaser toy, and it was that as well. I teased and played the grasshopper toy with the boys, but they couldn’t resist to eagerly catch it with their paws, and give it a good bite. When we played with the yellow/black/brown grasshopper, I purposedly saved this one, so it didn’t look all torn, unraveled, and all chewed up from our cats. So when I put it on the blog It looked fresh as a daisy, and we were ready to play. These toys didn’t come with a wand, but we have plenty of wands to attach these toys on, and you could order several quantities of one pack of three grasshoppers, or one- pack of eight grasshoppers of them for a variety. They looked so realistic, like an actual grasshopper, and I looked at real photos of grasshoppers online.

So I hooked the grasshopper toy, on its wand and myself, and the cats were ready to go. I took photos/video’s and put the toy on my pant leg, and/or took close ups of the grasshopper toy to have you see it, and what it looked like in photos, and or in video’s. I let Kai and Pukini sniff it at first, and when I started flying it above their heads, they got so excited. It made a fluttering sound, or whirling sound when I flew it over their heads. When they weren’t looking, I flew the grasshopper on the area rug, and I would let the bug drop, and before they could run and catch it, I flung it right up in the air, and had it drop back down on the floor. I loved to keep them both guessing, where it was going to land. I had it flying over by the cat tree, and all over the floors, and on the chair and more.

A (Retro) Mouse In Our House!

Our cats, Kai and Pukini called out to Dave and I, help help Mommy and Daddy you need to call a pest control company, to come out right away. It turns out we have A (Retro) Mouse In Our House!! This is not only another Christmas toy of 2023, but the second order from this place called, LitterboyCatToys, on Etsy, or www.litterboy.com This toy is called, Retro Mouse Cat Toy, and I wanted to get the rod, plus the three pack of mice, and you can never have enough rods or wands, or mice to go with it. Nothing but the best for our boys, and they both really loved this toy a lot. First up, I love the according to online the: Eighteen inch long rod, with an approximately thirty six inches long, braided wire that is nylon coated. Also, online: Since the wire is nylon coated, it will not fray and no metal is exposed to your cat. This was something to have some peace of mind about. It had a nice four inch handle for holding onto the wand which I liked. After taking the retro mouse with rod attached out of the package, it was time for some cat toy fun. I took this almost two inch body of a gray mouse, on a rod, with what I liked and the cats had a four inch long tail, to play with. Just a cute and realistic looking mouse with black eyes, ears and nose.

So here we were on the area, and living room floors, taking that mouse and swingling it all over their heads, of Kai and Pukini, and taking it and trying to fling the toy to the entrances inside the plaid tunnel bed. When Pukini saw the retro mouse out, he would dart inside the plain tunnel bed to try to grab it, which he did. Plus I loved putting the mouse toy on top of the tunnel bed and Pukini would try to put his paws up inside to get it from the inside and out of the entrance area, and it was cute and funny. Our cats are so fast and this mouse better look out for a workout from our cats. I would also take it back and forth and side to side up and down and all around and over their heads. I loved the look in their eyes, when they saw this retro mouse, and they were told to get rid of this mouse. So the both of them would lay on their sides and just try to grab it, or paw at it in the air, with the four inch long tail dangling in front of them. This was too enticing of a toy, for them to get excited about. I also liked the fact that there were two refill mice in the package, which we ordered, just in case we needed them.

Recommended by veterinarians as an interactive exercise toy. Finally, the toy was made really well, with our boys pawing and clawing at and trying to chew at the tail. I didn’t even give them a chance though. I highly recommend this toy, for lots of minutes of fun, and remember if you are looking for a longer rod, that you can fling, and swing quite a bit of a ways, this is your toy. Enjoy.

Sheepskin Cat Kickin Kickin Toy!

Here is another winner, from The Ecstatic Cat, and thank you Jessie Turney the owner of this business. This toy is called: The Ecstatic Cat Sheepskin Cat Kicker Toy, and it is quite a kick of a toy, get it, ha ha. As usual, it was yet another toy from Christmas of 2023, for our cats to try and play with, and plus for me to review it. After finally getting this toy out to take a look at it, catnip was already on the area rug floor, and I took The Ecstatic Cat Sheepskin Cat Kicker Toy out of its bag. I tossed it to the cats to see who would go and chase and play and than start kicking at it. Pukini just sniffed and did a bit of kicking, but it was Kai who couldn’t wait to give it a go, and sniffed and took it and pawed at it and, rolling over and over, and than started using his paws to give it a good kicking like fun. He didn’t want the toy to run away from him. It’s nice, white, soft, and made out of real sheepskin, and has the alluring scent of wool, your cat will go wild for according to Jessie Turney online. Also online: Available with USA grown organic catnip or catnip/silvervine mix (optional).  Online it says, the size of the toy is: Approximately ten inches by three inches, not including fur length. Also: Each toy is a one-of-a-kind creation. Fur length, color and texture will vary. Not bad for the price of seventeen dollars, and see what you think. I believe it had catnip in the toy, and a rattle like sound to it, when you shook the toy.

Next, they would love to rub and rub at the kicker toy, hold it, and not want to let go. It’s a really good size, and nice good size around. Even when they grabbed it and started kicking at it, the fur was still intact, and everything was still together. Kai didn’t know what to kick at, at times, his chin, or the cat toy. In the photo I will show you, he’s playing with the toy, and I just noticed his blep of a tongue out, and to darling not to show on the blog, and Instagram and Facebook. Finally, so cute furiously grabbing this kicker of a toy, and kicking pretty good to show it who is boss.
